The Pwllheli challenge 2024 was completed today, after a short delay waiting for the wind to fill in, with the fleet completing one race, and Racing Captain Vicky Cox making the call to cancel tomorrows racing due to "Storm Ashley".
Congratulations to the overall challenge winner from class 1, Wil Partington and team, racing the A35 AndromedA, and to winner of both the sports boat and Class 2 fleet Dave Sharp and team racing J70 "Mojito Bach"
The Winter series starts on the 9/10th of November.
We are hosting a joint party with Pwllheli Mooring & Berth Holders Association! All are welcome!
We have a great night of music and dancing planned, and an Autumn Supper of ‘Sean’s Famous Irish Stew’!
Tickets are just £12.50, which is fantastic value for such a good night, but we do need bookings early for numbers!
Tickets available from either PMBHA or CHPSC officers! Looking forward to seeing lots of you there!
Congratulations to team Mojito on third place in the J Cup hosted in DunLaogharie, and also to the Jackpot and Only Just teams for some very close sailing.

Later this week, the three boats are joined by Faenol, Panache and Jackknife to compete in the IRC European Championships, we wish all the skippers and crew the best of luck.
Meteorological Autumn starts at the end of the week but before you pack up all your sailing gear, it’s time to enjoy the last of the good weather in The Pwllheli Autumn Challenge Series.
Starting on Saturday 7th September, the series is run every other weekend for 4 weekends with 2 races each day on the following dates:
7th&8th September
21st&22nd September
5th&6th October
19th&20th October
Although tide dependant, most of our warning signals are aimed at 10:30/11:00 so you can enjoy a leisurely brunch before racing. Run from the Pwllheli bridge start off Gimblet rock, racing is open to all IRC racers, YTC cruisers and sports boats. Fixed and variable courses around the Pwllheli marks, enable a variety of racing from windward and leeward legs, to long reaching legs - something for everyone.
An autumn ball is planned for the 5th October to accompany the series, a chance to discuss your 2024 sailing challenges and successes.
Entry is free to skipper members. Please enter using the online entry form https://pwllhelisailingclub.co.uk/index.php/club-sections/racing/racing-entry-form
