This afternoon Christopher Jones and Iago Davies flew out from Heathrow to Baltimore with six other members of the GBR National Oppie Squad.
An invitation was received in April from the USA Sailing Federation for a team of saiors to join a week of training with the USA National squad at the Annapolis Yacht Club in Maryland. Sailors were asked to declare an interest and the 8 with the highest ranking were selected.
The boys will be staying in the home of members of the Annapois Yacht Club and they have taken a CHPSC pennant as a gift to the club, so if you are ever in the vicinity rememeber to have a look for it!

Mari & Sarah's Summer Campaign Yields European Bronze medals and British National title
The girls recently returned home after spending 6 weeks abroad competing in the international 420 fleet.
The first event of the summer was in Keiler Woche, Germany a massive rgatta attended by thousands with racing across numerous fleets. Stormy weather and fickle wind meant that only four races were held in two racing days. Despite this, the event gave them the opportunity to work with RYA coach Mark Rushall in preparation for the other main summer events.

During September and October CHIPAC organised an evening with Pwllheli Band as well as a quiz night.
CHIPAC would like to thank everyone that supported these evenings and in particular for the generous donations received - £340.00 was collected towards Hope House. Diolch.
Members and guests also raised £682 in the Autumn Ball for local charities.
Join us for a wine tasting evening with Reverend Marcus Wyn Robinson on Saturday, 6th December at 7.30pm. After the success of the last wine tasting evening tickets are expected to be in high demand and will be sold on a first come basis.
Tickets are £12 each and are available at the Club. Proceeds of the evening go to CHIPAC.
2 Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli Sailing Club youth members are competing in lake Balaton, Hungary in preparation for the Optimist European end of the month.

Huw Edward and Iago Davies are competing in the IODA Optimist European Championships at Lake Balaton, Hungry. 40 Nations and 250 sailors are entered the championships with teams of 7 selected sailors per country.
Three Chipac sailors travelled to Cardiff Bay Yacht Club to take part in the Gemau Cymru event . Gemau Cymru is a multi sport event for the young athletes of Wales. This year it was held on the weekend of 5-7 July 2013 at different locations around Cardiff. The main aim is to capture the inspiration of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and deliver a lasting sports legacy for Wales.
